  1. Has anyone else been frustrated by the Rebex ordering process implemented by Plimus? I ordered online yesterday and still have not received my download link. They claim they cannot reach my by telephone, but actually did call me. The money has been deducted from my account. Has anyone else had trouble with this? They are also not answering the contact number on their website today.

  3. SSH on *nix systems allow to specify a command to execute upon connection (with the -c "<command>" parameter)
    It's like the StartCommand method but with interactive support.

    It will allow users to specify an alternate shell than the one set for his account (bash, ksh, csh, ...) or a script to launch which is interactive (menu).
    When the shell or the script exits, connection is closed.

    It's available in PuTTY: Connection/SSH/Remote command in configuration
    It's also available in SecureCRT: Connection/Logon Actions/Remote Command in session's options

  6. It would be nice to extend the FtpItem so it includes the creation date of the file.

    Update: Support for creating date has been added to Rebex FTP/SSL: http://www.rebex.net/ftp-ssl.net/history.aspx#5700

    Retrieving file creation date/time is only possible with modern FTP servers that support MLST/MLSD extension (and also offer the “create” fact). On most servers, unfortunately, this is not available.

    At the moment, it is possible to create a custom listing parser that extends the integrated lsiting parser to handle creation date as well. We will also consider adding built-in support for this feature if there is sufficient demand.

  7. I can call Ssh.StartShell to start a shell and then I can execute commands with SendCommand but, I can't tell if the commands were successful because SshChannelExitStatus is not exposed.

  9. Several Microsoft's end user applicaton certification requires signing of all executable files with Authenticode certificate. When the application includes Rebex dlls they must also be signed.

    More about Authenticode:

    Actually, we already have experimental version of components for Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Store and Universal Windows Platforms (including Rebex ZIP, Rebex FTP/SSL, Rebex SFTP, Time, Terminal Emulation (GUI-less) and Security). The experimental binaries are included in the standard packages. See http://labs.rebex.net/WinStoreWinPhone for more information. Registered customers can download from rebex.net/protected. Trial customers download the free trial from http://www.rebex.net/total-pack/download.aspx

  11. The option to resume transfers in the GetFile and PutFile methods are great - but can you build this into your component & include it within the batch processing options?

  13. The log contains the version, so the class is definitely aware of it. However, there's no other way to determine it, which would be useful for determining if certain features will or will not work.

  15. Currently, the GetFile/PutFile methods cause progress notification events, but there is absolutely no way to determine what transfer these belong to unless you limit yourself to one transfer at a time, whereas Begin* provides a State object that can be used to determine this. Adding the remote path seems to simplest way to easily determine what an event is for.

  18. Please implement IEnumerable<T> on your collections so Linq can be used. I realize you want .net 1.1 compatibility, but you can maintain that by implementing the interface in a conditional compile block.

    // would like this ...
    string address = message.From.FirstOrDefault().Address;

  19. I'd like to be able to encrypt SSH traffic in the FileServer using keys I store and maintain in Azure Key Vault. The problem is, FileServer seems to want to do the encryption itself, locally, and I can't export a private key from Key Vault for that purpose. Is it possible to add the ability to have FileServer call out to a custom function to do the encryption?

    This should already be possible with .NET Standard 2.0 and .NET 4.6/4.7/4.8 editions of Rebex File Server. You can implement a custom RSA class that provides the SignHash(byte[] hash, HashAlgorithmName hashAlgorithm, RSASignaturePadding padding) method which uses Azure Key Vault to perform the operation, and pass that to SshPrivateKey constructor.

  20. create some kind of email threading so that I can see the context of the email

    We added MailMessage.References property. Together with InReplyTo and MessageId properties, this should be sufficient to reconstruct and display the context.
