Ability to add/download custom file attributes in SFTP
AT the moment you can't add special attributes like the file movement status ie Uploaded, downloaded, ready to download etc.
If you wish to do this you have use a custom command(which is better than nothing)
SFTP protocol supports custom file attributes, and this looks like a useful feature. However, in order to use this, support at both the server and the client would be needed.

Greetings from OZ! The system I am writing is using Rebex for both client and server. The reason I chose Rebex from other comms libraries was because you have both client and server and customized file systems etc. This could be an additional reason for others to use a complete Rebex solution?
My first question to you way back when was about custom virtual file systems. This is still related to the original question.
I now use MountCapableFileSystemProvider for the sftp like system and add LocalFileSystemProviders to add common(to all clients) folders like Office forms and newsletters antd this works well.
The custom file attributes (as well as the actual physical locations of the files) are all stored in a database. To download lists, required custom commands which Rebex supplies the ability for

The SFTP protocol actually supports custom file attributes (and it also supports custom protocol extensions). However, in order to use this, both the client and the server would have to support this feature. But it does indeed look like a very interesting use case and we will consider adding it. Are you going to use Rebex SFTP at the client as well?

You're right, which is why I'm using Rebex FileServer to make one. This is from a customer's requirement that actually makes sense and opens the opportunity to offer other customers an extended ability on their server. Somewhat like giving us the ability to have a custom virtual file system. Maybe this is something that could be added to that?
