checksum calculation
Provide a way to calculate checksum of remote file while using sftp tranfer
1 voteSince version 2016 R3 Rebex SFTP supports the ‘check-file’ extension of SFTP protocol.
If your server supports the extension, you can get the remote file checksum via the Sftp.GetChecksum method.
For a code example see:

EWS - using impersonate User for accessing an other mailbox
Hello,
If I want to use a User with impersonation privileg to access an other mailbox, I cannot use the sharedMailbox functionality in Rebex.Ews, because I have to set the ImpersonatedUserId instead of sharedMailbox to access to the mailbox. After research at Exchange WebService api I found out that there is a property in Ews.Service object to set/get the impersonated user.
Is it possible to add this property to Rebex.Ews?
1 voteImpersonation feature was added in 2016 R3 release.

Add support for custom encryption providers (e.g., Azure Key Vault)
I'd like to be able to encrypt SSH traffic in the FileServer using keys I store and maintain in Azure Key Vault. The problem is, FileServer seems to want to do the encryption itself, locally, and I can't export a private key from Key Vault for that purpose. Is it possible to add the ability to have FileServer call out to a custom function to do the encryption?
1 voteThis should already be possible with .NET Standard 2.0 and .NET 4.6/4.7/4.8 editions of Rebex File Server. You can implement a custom RSA class that provides the SignHash(byte[] hash, HashAlgorithmName hashAlgorithm, RSASignaturePadding padding) method which uses Azure Key Vault to perform the operation, and pass that to SshPrivateKey constructor.

email threading so that I can see the context of the email
create some kind of email threading so that I can see the context of the email
1 voteWe added MailMessage.References property. Together with InReplyTo and MessageId properties, this should be sufficient to reconstruct and display the context.

Wrap exceptions thrown from System.Security.Cryptography
I get this exception when attempting to login in to an SMTP server using the Rebex.Net.SmtpAuthentication.Auto authentication method on a machine that has FIPS compliance turned on via Windows. This disables the MD5 hashing algorithm and causes the Smtp.Login method to throw undocumented exceptions.
It might be even nicer if the Rebex.Net.SmtpAuthentication.Auto would detect that MD5 hashing is not available on the sending machine (even though it is an available login method on the server) and negotiate to the next lower level of authentication security.
But my real complain is that a System.Reflection.TargetInvokationException is thrown from this method. I shouldn't…
1 voteThe fix has been released as a part of 2012 R3. More info about release 2012 R3 can be found at this blogpost

From version 2014 R3 Rebex Terminal Emulation offers limited support for .NET Compact Framework, Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android. Most UI-less classes including scripting and VirtualTerminal work fine. However, there is no UI control for mobile platforms (yet). Feel free to contact us at support@rebex.net or at our forum or to add new suggesting to uservoice if you are interested in UI control. For details see http://www.rebex.net/terminal-emulation.net/features/mobile.aspx

Add support for MGET and MPUT
If an FTP server does not support MLST you cannot download using wildcards. Many older FTP servers support MGET but not MLST.
1 voteI would say that Ftp object’s Upload/Download methods pretty much correspond to MGET/MPUT.

IEnumerable<T> on collection so Linq can be used.
Please implement IEnumerable<T> on your collections so Linq can be used. I realize you want .net 1.1 compatibility, but you can maintain that by implementing the interface in a conditional compile block.
// would like this ...
string address = message.From.FirstOrDefault().Address;1 vote -
FIPS-approved version of SFTP and SSH libraries
It would be nice to have an option (or a separate version of Rebex.Security.dll assembly) to force FIPS-approved modules to be used only and disable the rest.

Add a Telnet component
Youy have a SSH shell component with terminal emulatuon. Adding Telnet for legacy devices would be nice.
0 votesTelnet component has been released recently. See http://www.rebex.net/default.aspx and http://blog.rebex.net/news/archive/2009/05/21/new-component-rebex-telnet-shell-scripting-terminal-emulation.aspx

Add support to sshcheck for more MACs
Currently sshcheck fails on "modern / safe" sshd configs since the client lacks modern MACs.
Unable to negotiate with 40.112.150.31 port 59416: no matching MAC found. Their offer: hmac-sha2-256,hmac-sha2-512,hmac-sha1
Which is a pity. I like the service.0 votesWe added support for many modern ciphers. If sshcheck.com still doesn’t work for you, please let us know.

ASP.NET sample for FTP or SFTP
Samples for .NET Framework and .NET Compact Framework are in place, but it should be also a sample showing how to use FTP or SFTP from ASP.NET page.
