Publish API reference guides in web-based format
I'm basing this off the Rebex SFTP component. Currently it comes as a CHM file. For companies that purchase enterprise licenses, it would be great to publish the API guide in a central web-based location.
7 votesWe already publish a web-based version of the CHM file at http://help.rebex.net/
If this is not sufficient for your needs for any reason, please let us know at support@rebex.net and we’ll see what can we do about it. -

Add support for MGET and MPUT
If an FTP server does not support MLST you cannot download using wildcards. Many older FTP servers support MGET but not MLST.
1 voteI would say that Ftp object’s Upload/Download methods pretty much correspond to MGET/MPUT.

As per RFC1952: "A gzip file consists of a series of "members" (compressed data sets)". Once one set is deflated, look magic header and continue with the next set.
13 votesThis is planned to be included in the next release. If you want to try a beta version please contact us at support@rebex.net

GZip Support
This is fundamentally a subset of the existing library, it would be nice to have GZip support within the same library instead of having to use another tool, or the ok but limited version in the .net framework.

Expose SFTP protocol version in Sftp class
The log contains the version, so the class is definitely aware of it. However, there's no other way to determine it, which would be useful for determining if certain features will or will not work.

Resume support for GetFiles or PutFiles batch process
The option to resume transfers in the GetFile and PutFile methods are great - but can you build this into your component & include it within the batch processing options?

Provide remote filepath in SFTP progress events
Currently, the GetFile/PutFile methods cause progress notification events, but there is absolutely no way to determine what transfer these belong to unless you limit yourself to one transfer at a time, whereas Begin* provides a State object that can be used to determine this. Adding the remote path seems to simplest way to easily determine what an event is for.

Scp: Method for transfering complete directories (recursively)
After looking at Scp object, I see there are methods for transferring only one file at a time. There are no methods for transferring complete directories (recursively), even though the SCP supports this functionality.
4 votesRecursive SCP is supported in Rebex SFTP build 4060 or later. This build was released in February 2011.

Add hostname property to events for multi-threaded apps
I am currently writing a multi-threaded app to transfer files to multiple servers. Unfortunately, when an event is fired, there are no properties that expose the hostname of the sender. I have had to implement a dictionary class to do a lookup using the endpoint class IP. Doing it this way works, but it strikes me as kludgey since I'm sure the sftp/ssh class knows the hostname.
